On the 10th of July, HK-Laichar launched a case to the Court of Disputed Returns on the modifiers of the 2018 Brisbane-Melbourne by-election. The claimant suspected that the modifier system incorrectly used the same modifiers for two different by-elections, meaning that the candidate for Brisbane of the Greens(which is HK-Laichar) will share the same modifiers by then-candidate for Melbourne, NotKhrushchevsGhost. In the claimant's opinion, that has caused a disadvantage to the candidate for Brisbane, and advised the Court to rearrange the modifier points according to solely the performance of the Brisbane candidate.
